GVA North Middle School Academic Staff Lead Students to CMAS Success

The middle school team at GVA North has been on a mission over the last few years, and their students' latest achievement on the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) proves they’re on the right track! GVA North's 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students achieved higher results on the ELA, Math, and Science assessments than the state and local district!

Below are some of the middle school team’s performance celebrations:

  • Middle School Math “Meets Expectations” on both Academic Performance and Growth
  • Middle school ELA “Exceeds Expectations” on both Academic Performance and Growth
  • In Middle School ELA, 60% or more students Met or Exceeded expectations in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade—beating the state and district in all grades!
  • Middle School Math’s “Median Growth Percentile” is 60.0 - our highest percentile score for math growth!
  • Middle Science Achievement is in the 64th percentile - meeting expectations and beating the state and district percentiles!

With determination, persistence, and a focus on academic excellence, GVA North middle school students have demonstrated that success is not only possible but achievable. This student success is also a testament to the collaborative environment fostered within the middle school team. Teachers have worked tirelessly to provide engaging lessons and tailored support, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.  The staff has created a culture where effort, resilience, and belief in one’s ability are at the forefront, and it shows! These teachers continue to make us PUMA PROUD!
