GVA Colorado Springs
GVA Colorado Springs was busy with several engaging family events during the first few months of the school year.
In September, Oktoberfest was celebrated. Families enjoyed dressing up in traditional lederhosen or other costumes, traditional German food was served and many fun, family activities were provided.
In October, they held their first ever Trunk or Treat which was followed by the movie Incredibles 2. This was a new event for GVA and one that families seemed to love!
In early November, the Spanish Cultural program took place. This event showcased grade level performances for the student body and families. On Veteran's Day, the school hosted a large program in which many students sung in a choir and eight students read letters they'd written to our servicemen and woman.
GVA CS also hosted a Super Hero literacy event, an evening event for Understanding Assessments and their Family Fall Writing event. Most recently they held a coat, shoe and food drive to support families in need in their school community.
